Fualt Code (VRDU) 232/524000/9-ECU CPC Timeout Comes Active After Reprogramming CPC04T

Posted by: on

Applicable Vehicles:

This solution would apply to any vehicle with a Detroit Common Powertrain Controller (CPC04T) and Detroit Assurance.  Most commonly seen on Cascadia vehicles.

Symptoms:

The code 232/524000/9-ECU CPC Timeout comes active after programming the CPC04T.

Issue:

When the CPC04T is programmed, if the Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) receives the wrong Source Address during the CPC04T programming then this code will come active.  Since the parameter ACC_Source_Address_SAE_J1939 can not be seen in Diagnostic Link Professional, running a compare between OEM and Current will not expose the programming differences.

Solution:

To eliminate the active code, the CPC needs to have the ACC_Source_Address_SAE_J1939 programming set to 232.   This can be done by contacting the CSC and requesting the special parameter for "Global Radar" be set to active.
