Abs light on, loss of abs battery power, blown 10a dlu fuse in aux pdm

SYMPTOMS

ABS light on, loss of battery power to ABS, Blown 10A DLU (data logger unit) fuse in auxiliary PDM.

APPLICABLE VEHICLES

24U Coronado with p/n 06-41905-000 Auxiliary PDM

ISSUE

Normally, ABS battery power is supposed to be supplied via the 15A fuse in the F1 position of the auxiliary PDM labeled as "ABS BAT1".

It has been discovered that some auxiliary PDM schematics incorrectly show 15A fuse F1 ABS BAT1 supplying power to pin C of the black connector on the bottom of the auxiliary PDM. Fuse F1 ABS BAT1 actually supplies power to pin F of the black connector on the bottom of the auxiliary PDM.

Pin C on the black connector on the bottom of the auxiliary PDM is actually supplied by 10A fuse F9 labeled as "DLU BAT".

Furthermore, some Coronado 24U vehicles were wired such that the ABS battery power was sourced from the auxiliary PDM via pin C, which is supplied by the 10A F9 DLU BAT fuse. On some vehicles, the ABS system amperage demand may cause the 10A DLU BAT fuse to blow.

SOLUTION

If the F9 fuse labeled DLU BAT is blowing causing a loss of power to the ABS, rewire the ABS battery supply as follows:

Move circuit 376A from pin C (black connector on bottom of auxiliary PDM) to pin F (black connector on bottom of auxiliary PDM). This will ensure the ABS battery power is being supplied by 15A fuse F1 labled ABS BAT1.
